The practice
Effects built like film, not filters.
Optica Lingua is the studio of Jim Frelinger — an experimental filmmaker in the structural / materialist tradition. These tools come out of that work: they foreground the material of the image — its compression, its channels, its clock — rather than hiding it. Controlled breakdown you can score to a cut. Frame-accurate, repeatable, and yours to keep.

New effects, when they drop.
No noise — just the next tool and the occasional breakdown of how it was built.
